Hi and Welcome. In this video, Lorne J. Therrien Sr. shares a defense against a hammerlock or arm bent up behind back. Professor Therrien uses a powerful elbow strike as a distraction before applying a wristlock. In most cases the elbow strike alone may be all that is needed to successfully defend yourself.

Therrien Sr. was awarded the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in Kenpo Karate and the title of Professor in 2002 from the Kokon Ryu Bujutsu Renmei, a 1st degree black belt in Samurai Jiu Jitsu from the late Pete Siringano in 1993, a Lakan Lima (5th degree black belt) and the title of Master of Modern Arnis in 1998 from the late Grandmaster Remy Presas and a Certified Instructor of Jeet Kune Do Concepts and Kali from Paul Vunak in 1993. Lorne J. Therrien Sr. has been teaching and promoting the Filipino Martial Arts since 1987.
