Coffee With Ray – Making Homemade Tomato Infused Oil – In other words, making sun dried tomatoes, but without the sun and instead using my Excalibur dehydrator.

This is super easy to do and when you finally have the finished product in a couple weeks, you will be amazed at how good this olive oil is. Not only can you use it on salads and dip bread in it, you can also cook with it and it will give an herbal tomato flavor to your foods.

Preserving foods in olive oil has been around for ages and the great byproduct is that you get an infused oil that tastes like the food you will preserving in the oil. This is a great survival / preparedness trick that a lot of folks have forgotten about.
